Canada’s seizure of the Volga-Dnepr’s An-124 casts doubt on country's international business practicesVolga-Dnepr Airlines unexpectedly encountered a pirate hijacking of its aircraft seized in Canada — a country once chosen to host the main international aviation organizations ICAO (The International Civil Aviation Organization) and IATA (International Air Transport Association). As per received information, the privately-owned aircraft has been illegally inspected and is intended to be transferred to third parties.

AirBridgeCargo receives its 12th traditional Bembel from Frankfurt Cargo ServicesAirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), the scheduled air cargo carrier within Volga-Dnepr Group with expertise in integrated logistics services, has been awarded the Bembel prize for the 12th consecutive year. The prize is presented by Frankfurt Cargo Services (FCS), a subsidiary of WFS Worldwide Flight Services, every year to acknowledge the best performers in the air cargo industry handled by FCS, largest independent air cargo handler at Frankfurt Airport. This year due to COVID-19 restrictions the community lacked the official awards ceremony although Claus Wagner, Managing Director of FCS Frankfurt Cargo Services GmbH, presented the Hessisch Bembel, a jug used for the famous Hessian apple wine individually during a personal meeting at FCS’s office in Frankfurt, in compliance with all Covid health-related measures.

Volga-Dnepr completes a series of charter flights with over 12 mln COVID-19 test kitsOn the 31st of January, RA-82044 one of Volga-Dnepr’s 12 x AN-124-100 landed at Billund airport (Denmark) carrying 72 tonnes of COVID-19 test kits. This was the last in a series of six charter flights in collaboration with JAG-UFS based in the UK. Volga-Dnepr and JAG-UFS are key strategic partners in transporting Covid related products and on this occasion were working on behalf of the Danish government. This sequence of flights further strengthens its existing relationship in the carriage of PPE and medical equipment.
