Volga-Dnepr Group participated in Dubai Air Show which kicked off in Dubai on November 14 and lasted the whole week bringing together the industry experts, leaders from the aviation sector and supply chain stakeholders.

The Volga-Dnepr delegation hosted its guests at a stylish, eye-catching, and elegant stand designed to promote the life-saving logistics concept and major input the Group has made during COVID-19. The visitors had the chance to get familiar with the Group’s services for aerospace, healthcare, oil and gas, e-commerce, and other sectors, alongside MRO services provided by Volga-Dnepr Technics.

During an intensive five-day schedule, the Group managed to hold over 70 face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers and partners, signed agreements for further business development and participate in a dedicated air cargo conference.

The show started with a major milestone for the Volga-Dnepr Middle East team as the Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC). The MoU will cover the provision of effective logistics solutions for the UAE Satellite Programme.

Artemiy Ivanovskiy, Regional Manager IMEA at Volga-Dnepr Group, highlights; “This is a great milestone for Volga-Dnepr Group to be partnering with Mohamed Bin Rashid Space Center. With the years of proven track record in aerospace transportations across the globe, among them being the outstanding Probe hope project, we feel that will be able to take space projects of our partners to a new height. Our versatile fleet of dedicated freighters, coupled with 30+ years of experience and competence, ramps up challenging logistics to keep our customers' business moving and developing”.

The Dubai Airshow has served as the right platform to move along with digitalization projects which embrace various fields, among them being maintenance. AirBridgeCargo Airlines signed a cooperation agreement with GE Digital to expand its predictive maintenance capabilities, covering all the freighters within the Group’s fleet.

Denis Fisenko, General Director of AirBridgeCargo Airlines, pointed out: “The ability to meet the transformative technologies offers great opportunities for every sector, with air cargo being no exception. We are proud to be pioneering with GE Digital monitoring of such legendary freighters as An-124-100/150 and Il-76TD-90VD, alongside the fleet of Boeing planes - Boeing 747F, Boeing 777F and Boeing 737F. With planes becoming more technologically advanced and connected to the ground, carriers have more instruments for predictive analytics and aircraft predictive maintenance. The agreement with GE Digital for predictive monitoring of aircraft systems and components is another step towards enhancement of our fleet utilization and operational efficiency which at the end of the day will enable stability of our flight operations and guarantee uninterrupted supply chains for our customers across the globe”.

The five-day aviation event gave executives from Volga-Dnepr Technics the opportunity to hold high-level meetings with aircraft operators and lessors to see how the Volga-Dnepr Group can meet their MRO needs.
