Volga-Dnepr’s IL-76TD-90VD Guarantees Dedicated Airlift for Heavy Machinery Equipment

Volga-Dnepr Airlines, the leader in the sector of air cargo transportation of oversized and super heavy shipments, has organized a delivery of a crankshaft from Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico to Mumbai, India.

The flight was chartered by DHL Global Forwarding for a 38-ton shipment which had been packaged in a 7-meter long box alongside some support equipment required for loading.

Within 12 hours of the request receipt, Volga-Dnepr’s experienced logistics specialists developed several loading and packaging options for the customer. This promptness, and Volga Dnepr’s ability to provide a bespoke cargo platform for the weight distribution, reduced the lead-time before the uplift accordingly.
