VD Gulf wins Rossiya Airlines maintenance contract and new international customers from Turkey and Pakistan

VD Gulf, Volga-Dnepr Group’s MRO business unit based in Sharjah, UAE, has won an international tender to provide aircraft maintenance services for Rossiya Airlines, one of the largest airlines in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Rossiya Airlines has already witnessed VD Gulf’s MRO competence and experience in 2017 after it carried out maintenance on the airline’s Boeing family aircraft. In 2018, VD Gulf will carry out a further seven heavy checks on Rossiya’s Boeing 747-400s.

Among our other recent achievements, we have entered into an agreement with Corendon Airlines, a Turkish operator, for Boeing 737NGs maintenance and Airblue of Pakistan to provide maintenance for its Airbus А320 aircraft. In mid-2017, VD Gulf and Airblue, a commercial airline in Pakistan, entered into an agreement for maintenance support in the Middle East after VD Gulf successfully passed an audit to confirm its compliance with the requirements of Pakistan’s aviation authorities.

In order to provide maintenance support to Turkish operators and, in particular, Corendon Airlines, VD Gulf also extended its maintenance certificate issued by the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation to include the full range of works on Boeing 737NG aircraft.
