A sister Company of CC "Volga-Dnepr Airlines" develops passenger traffic

Moscow, June 21, 2001 - The sister company of VDA, "Passenger Operations" is pursuing further expansion of its business activities. In addition to existing regular daily passenger flight Moscow-Ulyanovsk-Moscow, the company has launched another domestic flight on the same air route. The flight is scheduled each Monday and Wednesday from the Vnukovo Airport, Moscow and operated by the VDA Yak-40 short-haul jet liner. The new route was introduced to respond to the high seasonal passenger traffic. Besides, the regular flights Moscow - Gelendzhik and Moscow - Nikolayev (Ukraine) were introduced and operated from the Vnukovo as the departure airport, commencing from May and gaining high popularity.

According to Vladimir Gortikov, Director of "Passenger Operations", the decisive factor for opening of these routes is their profitability. The high demand is conditioned by a convenient flight schedule and high comfort on board the plane.

The "Passenger Operations" performs regular and charter passenger flights as well as cargo and mail delivery. Its fleet consists of 4 retrofitted Yak-40 aircraft, including one Yak-40 in VIP configuration. Professional skill of the flight crews, based on the international nature of the main business activities of Volga-Dnepr Airlines, allows the company to operate charter flights, practically, to any country around the World. The main business of Volga-Dnepr Airlines is global unique and oversize cargo operations, performed by its fleet of An-124-100 aircraft.
