VOLGA-DNEPR GROUP TRANSPORTS VINTAGE BENTLEY CARS AS AN OFFICIAL AIR CARRIER FOR THE "TOWARDS ST.PETERSBURG 300TH ANNIVERSARY RALLY"

Moscow, May 17, 2003. - Volga-Dnepr Airlines, an official air carrier of the Towards St.Petersburg 300th Anniversary rally, transported vintage Bentley racing cars from London-Stansted Airport to Ekaterinburg in Russia. Precious cargo of 40 tons - 12 unique Bentleys, a Vauxhall and a Cadillac , four back-up vehicles, additional equipment, trailers and spare parts - was delivered to the start point of the international rally devoted to the 300th anniversary of Russia's northern capital.

For 14 days the rally will cover 2,584 km from Ekaterinburg to St.Petersburg with pit-stops in Perm, Izhevsk, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir, Moscow, Tver and Great Novgorod. His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent will participate in the rally, driving a Bentley.

The delivery of these unique and preciuos cars to Ekaterinburg is added to the list of unique car airlifts performed by Volga-Dnepr in the interests of international rallies such as London -Sydney (1993), London - Mexico (1994), Master-rally (1996 and 1997), 80 Days around the World, Gumball-3000, and the London - Sydney car marathon.
