VOLGA-DNEPR GROUP DELIVERED CARS FOR THE JNF LONDON-JERUSALEM 2004 RALLY

May 18, 2004. Volga-Dnepr Group transported 21 cars - most of them are BMWs plus two patrol cars to convoy the rally - from Athens (Greece) to Tel Aviv (Israel) intended for taking part in the "JNF London-Jerusalem 2004" rally. The weight of the consignment totaled almost 45 tons.

This traditional motor-rally from London to Jerusalem, organized by Jewish National Fund in Britain, started May 2 at Waterloo Square in London. Colorfully decorated cars covered a long route from London to Kale, then to Geneva and to Monte Carlo, where meetings with leaders of Jewish communities of France and Switzerland were organized. Later on the cars passed through Italy and Greece. Covered a distance of more than 3 000 miles from London to Athens, the cars were delivered by air to Tel Aviv (Israel) using one of Volga-Dnepr's AN-124-100 freighters. The rally is to be finished on May 19 in Jerusalem.

At present, Volga-Dnepr has accumulated a vast experience in transporting cars and vehicles and is considered a real expert in the field. Loading systems, designed and patented by Volga-Dnepr's specialists, including a special double-tier loading equipment capable of accommodating up to 55 cars or 40-45 4 x 4 vehicles, allowing the airline to offer to its customers outstanding high-quality services in a minimum time period. Other Volga-Dnepr vehicle deliveries include hundreds of 4 x 4 vehicles for UN peacekeeping forces and other non-governmental organisations, transportation of escort vehicles for heads of different countries and many others. In the last three years Volga-Dnepr Group has carried Volkswagen cars for low temperature tests, Peugeot cars from France to Morocco, Mercedes new models for a new advertising movie shoot into the USA. In last May Volga-Dnepr, as an official carrier of the Towards St. Petersburg 300th Anniversary rally, moved tens of vintage Bentley racing cars from Stansted (UK) to Ekaterinburg in Russia to the start point of the international rally devoted to the 300th anniversary of Russia's northern capital

Due to Volga-Dnepr's efforts the Antonov AN-124-100 freighter has become an integral part of international logistics chains uniting manufacturing situated in the different parts of the world. AN-124-100 services have carried equipment to launch car assembly lines and to ensure parts stock for constant assembly line operations. Among Volga-Dnepr clients are such leaders of the world's car industry as Ford, General Motors, Nissan, Fiat, Volvo, Toyota and Peugeot.
