Kibo’s EF and ELM-ES arrived at NASA KSC
(JAXA) - The Exposed Facility (EF) and Experiment Logistics Module-Exposed Section (ELM-ES), Kibo’s remaining components to be delivered to the ISS, were shipped from the Tsukuba Space Center (TKSC) to NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida in September 2008.

Thinking Big
The Volga-Dnepr Airline Company was established in 1990. The fleet comprises 10 AN-124-100 Ruslan aircraft and 14 IL-76s, including two modernised IL-76TD-90VD versions of the aircraft that have been approved by ICAO for worldwide operations. When one of these outsize freighters lands, it certainly makes its presence felt. Trevor Sweeting is the Operations Manager at Volga-Dnepr and his job is to make sure there are no surprises on the ground.

FORMER Flyington Freighters and Etihad boss Robert Strodel has joined Russian all-cargo airline AirBridge Cargo with immediate effect. Denis Ilyin is leaving the Volga Group after over 13 years of service, to take up a new role working for Moscow-based investment firm Basic Element.

Fuel Price crisis fails to dampen An-124 demand
"We are currently booked anywhere from four to six weeks ahead," Paul Furlonger, sales director for Ruslan International says. "This is unprecedented and it has been like that for the last nine months," Dennis Gliznoutsa, group commercial managing director for Volga-Dnepr agrees.
