Russian heavy lift airline Volga-Dnepr Group announces first half tonnage resultsRussian charter and scheduled cargo airline operator Volga-Dnepr Group today reported a 5 percent drop in tonnage to 835,000 ton/kilometers during the first six months of 2009. However, the group said, competing Russian carriers faced an average decline of between 19 percent and 23 percent in domestic and international operations over the same period.
