Sergey I. Shklyanik

Born in 1956. In 1979 graduated from the Kharkov Aviation Institute (Ukraine) with qualification of Mechanical Engineer of Aircraft Construction. Mr. S. Shklyanik started his professional career at Ulyanovsk Aviation Industrial Complex (now Aviastar AC Factory) commencing as shop floor foreman quickly raising through the ranks to Deputy Director (Finance and Costing) of Aircraft Components Production Plant. His responsibilities were directly involved in the process of design and manufacture of the first serial Antonov AN-124 aircraft.

In 1997 Sergey Shklyanik joined Volga-Dnepr Airlines as Finance Director and held this position till 1997.

In the same year he was promoted to the position of Deputy Director (Corporate Management) and in 2004, to Vice President of Volga-Dnepr Group with the responsibility for Corporate Planning. In November 2005 he was appointed Senior Vice President.

In 1992 he took a Banking Business course in Austria.

In 1998 he was trained and qualified under ТАCIS program for Russian airlines.

The major areas of Mr. S. Shklyanik’s responsibility at the moment being the management of the Group Companies, widening capital investments required for the aircraft fleet expansion and upgrading, corporate finance management, introduction of advanced IT technologies.
