The Group Global Target for up to 2019: The Volga-Dnepr Group of Companies is an “eternal” professional organization with dynamic growth rates which is part of the twenty top air cargo transportation industry companies.

Following operational results of 2008, progressive development of the Volga-Dnepr business provided for its firm position within the TOP Twenty of the World Air Cargo Leaders (and 14th position by sales volume estimated).

This global market Top position is achieved through the key factors below:

  • Individual air logistic solutions within the Cargo Supermarket project;
  • Exclusive air logistic technologies for the unique and oversize cargo carriage;
  • Efficient strategic partnerships with the aircraft vendors and service providers, including other global air cargo marketers;
  • Establishment of a long-term cooperation with the world industrial business corporations;
  • Increasing the Group fleet with the unique Russian-manufactured aircraft and the best foreign-made equipment.

The key strategic development areas of Volga-Dnepr Group are as follows:

  • Charter operations on Antonov AN-124 and Ilyushin IL-76 ramp aircraft (incl. modified equipment);
  • Scheduled operations on Boeing B-747s.

Charter Business Strategy:

  • Establishment of the own sales and customer service system;
  • The product portfolio extension with the exclusive unique and oversize cargo logistic solutions;
  • Increasing the Group fleet through the resumption project of an upgraded An-124 Ruslan construction, including deep modernization of Ilyshin IL-76s and further introduction of IL-76TD-90VDs into the Volga-Dnepr fleet.

Scheduled Business Strategy:

  • The product portfolio extension with the individual non-ramp charters;
  • Network expansion owing to the Russian Federation unique geographical location and development of the mutually beneficial cooperation with other air cargo marketers;
  • Purchase and introduction of the new Russian- and foreign-manufactured aircraft into the Group fleet.

The Volga-Dnepr Corporate Strategy includes:

  • Charter and scheduled business synergy;
  • Development of the Group supporting businesses, including:
    • Establishment and development of the Russian- and foreign-manufactured aircraft maintenance bases in Sharjah (UAE) and Ulyanovsk – Volga-Dnepr Technics;
    • Insurance business – NIC Insurance Company;
    • Truck operations – Volga-Trucks;
    • Regional passenger operations – Passenger Service.
  • Implementation of the knowledge management system within the Corporate University.
