Ruslan SALIS Passes ISO 9001:2008 Quality Audit

02/03/2014

Ruslan SALIS GmbH has passed a verification audit for compliance of its quality management system to ISO 9001:2008 standards. The company’s core activities of air cargo charter operations and aircraft maintenance services were recognised as conforming to international standards and its recertification has been renewed to the end of 2014.

The audit was conducted by TÜV Thüringen, the independent German auditor, and took several months to complete. The process included verification of related documents as well as site visits to make sure that all necessary standards were consistently followed within the company’s daily operation.

Ruslan SALIS GmbH is a joint venture established in Leipzig in 2004 by Volga-Dnepr Group of Russia and Ukraine’s Antonov State Company to provide outsize and heavy cargo transport services for the international SALIS (Strategic Airlift Interim Solution) project. The SALIS project manages the logistics needs of 14 nations; Belgium, UK, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Czech Republic and Sweden. Since October 2006, Ruslan SALIS GmbH has also provided maintenance services for AN-124-100 and IL-76TD-90VD aircraft.

In order to certify Ruslan SALIS GmbH to ISO 9001:2008 standards, a comprehensive quality system was developed and implemented, based on Volga-Dnepr Airlines’ quality programme. The certification allows the company to join the pool of large international companies committed to ISO 9001:2008 quality principles and demonstrates to customers it ability to deliver prompt, reliable and quality services.
