AirBridgeCargo Airlines, Russia’s largest scheduled cargo carrier, had successfully passes audit procedures for compliance with the International Air Transport Association’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has decided to extend the IOSA certificate for another two years (till November 2015). The certificate confirms that AirBridgeCargo activities conform with the highest air safety requirements.

Key airlines business were inspected such as management system, operating control, flight performance, maintenance and ground handling, as well as aviation security. “Safety is one of the most important issues in aviation, and our consistent quality and safety control by our own quality department and flight safety inspectors as well as the constant improvement of the quality of our product made it possible to pass the IOSA audit successfully once again”, said Denis Ilin, ABC Executive President.

AirBridgeCargo was awarded the first IOSA certificate in 2012 and this was a strategic step towards IATA membership which ABC got also back in 2012.

The IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) is an internationally accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of airlines. IOSA standard contains requirements for organization of airline operating process which allows each company to reach and sustain essential level of safety and quality. The audit itself consists of three stages: preparation, audit and rectifying of deficiencies. The scope of work which is necessary to comply with the IOSA standard requires the involvement of all departments in the company because almost all areas of operating process are to be checked.
