Volga-Dnepr Airlines signs Ron King as Commercial Director-North America

Ulyanovsk, Russia; Houston, Texas; Stansted, U.K. - November 1, 2001. Volga-Dnepr Airlines, the world's largest operator of An-124-100 cargo aircraft, has named Ron King for the position of Commercial Director in its U.S. sales office that is a Houston-based US subsidiary, VolgaDnepr-Unique Air Cargo, Inc.

Mr. King's appointment is expected to substantially invigorate the marketing activities of Volga-Dnepr Airlines in North America, where he will supervise major accounts and develop new business. Mr. King's extensive experience and specialist knowledge of the outsize air cargo market also strengthens Volga-Dnepr's international sales network, in which he will be a key member.

Volga-Dnepr Airlines has invested significantly in building its international sales network this year and is now emphasizing development of the outsize air cargo market in the United States, in which significant progress has already been achieved. Mr. King's invaluable expertise in the industry will further contribute to an ever-increasing share of the market for Volga-Dnepr Airlines.

Ron King has more than 35 years experience in the air cargo industry, serving in multiple executive positions, including Vice President of Curtis Air Services, where he was integrally involved in various transport projects for major clients including load planning, cargo preparation, surface transport and ground handling of outsized cargo.
