VOLGA-DNEPR DELIVERS MORES THAN 13 TONNES OF INSULIN TO UFA

Moscow - Russia - August 2003 - 720 boxes of insulin, weighing more than 13 tonnes has been safely delivered by Volga -Dnepr Airlines from Vienna in Austria to Bashkiria UFA, Russia in an IIyushin IL-76. This temperature controlled flight saw the airline's loading and flight crew, monitor temperature control sensors that were installed inside the aircraft to ensure the cargo cabin remained at the optimum temperature for the aircraft's cargo.

Due to the temperature sensitive cargo the aircraft staff were all issued with additional warm clothes to enable then to successfully operate the relief flight. The company has successfully carrier out a number of humanitarian and peace-making flights for a number of organization since 1992.
