AirBridge Cargo deliver valuable Russian Art Collections to China

Moscow, May 2006 - Two flights have been successfully completed by AirBridge Cargo transporting highly valuable Russian art to China for exhibitions to mark the Chinese ‘Year of Russia’.

More than 100 pieces of art were shown for two months at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing, and on May 26th the collection was successfully brought back to the State Tretyakov Gallery, The National Museum of Russian Fine Art in Moscow. The exhibition included pieces from different Russian art schools spanning 18 to 20 centuries, including pictures by Vasily Surikov, Isaak Levitan and Ilya Repin’s world famous ‘Barge Haulers on the Volga’, 1870-1873.

A second exhibition currently being held at the Urban Planning Museum in Shanghai included more than 60 exhibits from The State Russian Museum in St.-Petersburg, the art was also transported by AirBridge Cargo and is due to be shown until the end of June.
