Volga-Dnepr Group signs cooperation agreement with Ulyanovsk region government

On 7 June 2008, Volga-Dnepr Group and the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region signed a cooperation agreement at the XII Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Volga-Dnepr and the region’s government have agreed to interact and coordinate efforts in implementation of Volga-Dnepr Group’s aircraft industry investment project in Ulyanovsk, as well as in development of a special economic port area. This project will result in construction of modern MRO facilities in Ulyanovsk to service both Russian and foreign-built aircraft to the international and industry standards. The key objective will be to ensure the highest safety and maintenance standards, as well as to enhance quality of customer service.

“Execution of the cooperation agreement with the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region is another step in Volga-Dnepr’s striving for improvement of its infrastructure and for new business opportunities in order to increase operational efficiency and profitability of the company. We are confident that opening of new maintenance facilities in Ulyanovsk will enable the Group to further expand its route network, enhance the quality and level of local airport services and attract new clients and customers,” said Alexey Isaikin, President of Volga-Dnepr Group.
