Volga-Dnepr Airlines Delivered Glasswork Equipment

On 24 November 2008 Volga-Dnepr Airlines transported a new production line for glasswork manufacturing factory SaratovStroySteklo.

The cargo weighing about 80 tons was delivered to Ulyanovsk (Russia) from Amsterdam (Holland) on board AN-124-100 Aircraft. In the Dutch airport special loading equipment was used to facilitate the cargo on-loading process. In the cargo compartment of giant Ruslan the machinery was brought first to Ulyanovsk then it was forwarded to Saratov.

Initially the production line was delivered from China to Europe by sea on "Hanjin" ship, the operation took about one month, whereas the subsequent transportation from Europe to Russia, required several hours only thanks to Volga-Dnepr Airlines personnel expertise and unique capabilities of АN--124-100.
