Biathlon Tournament Equipment Delivered to Kamchatka

On 22 March 2009 Volga-Dnepr Airlines delivered from Kazan to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski the equipment required for preparation and performance of biathlon competitions.

Spectator's grand stands, target range systems, tents, screens for tournament translations and other equipment was brought to Kamchatka by AN-124-100 aircraft. It is the third time when Vitaly Fatyanov's Prize Tournament will be organized in Russia.

(For information: Vitaly Fatyanov is a famous Russian biathlon trainer who has brought up world champions Anatoly Zhdanovich, Alexander Tropnikov, Twice Olympic Champion Svetlana Ishmuratova).

These sports competition will be attended not by the members of Russian National Biathlon Team only but by the brightest foreign biathlon stars as well. The transportation was performed for one of the oldest business partners of Volga-Dnepr the Gasprom Corporation.who are the Tournament Organizer.

The same flight delivered to Kamchatka the domes for an orthodox Russian church currently under construction on the peninsula of total 10 tons by weight. The domes were transported disassembled. It is explained by the fact that the Kamchatka Peninsula is a seismically active area, and the domes manufactured under a special design and technique will have to be assembled on site using individually developed process.
