Volga-Dnepr Airlines Brought Cement Factory Equipment to India

May 6, 2009. Volga-Dnepr Airlines made a flight from Milan (Italy) to Mumbai (India) to deliver equipment for Ambuja Cements Ltd cement works, which is among Top Five leaders of the Indian industry.

The kiln tyre was transported onboard An-124-100. The weight of such outsize piece of equipment having a diameter of 6 meters was about 47 tons. The transport operation was carried out using additional specialized loading equipment designed by Volga-Dnepr.

The cargo passed through the logistic chain from the point of origin to the point of destination, all paperwork including, during the record-breaking short time period. Time required for the operation from the date of enquiry to the date of the cargo delivery to the site was one week only. The Customer expressed its appreciation to the company personnel for their highly professional input.
