04/28/2012

Volga-Dnepr Airlines has arranged delivery of 40 tons of underwater dredging equipment from Amsterdam, Holland to Vladivostok, Russia on a B747-400F chartered from AirBridgeCargo Airlines.

This transportation required involvement of several divisions within Volga-Dnepr Group, namely Volga-Dnepr Airlines, AirBridgeCargo Airlines and Engineering & Logistics Center. Cargo warehousing and palletization at Amsterdam Airport was provided as part of the service.

“Volga-Dnepr Group is a big ’Cargo Supermarket’, where a customer can choose the most suitable and expedient way to transport any cargo. For this flight, we have made full use of our potential and expertise,” said Evgueni Molofeyev, customer service executive of Volga-Dnepr Airlines.

The flight was contracted by a Dutch logistics company BASAMRO Shipping B.V. for Mezhregiontruboprovodstroy, a Russian company specializing in pipeline construction and underwater works in the High North territories.
