Volga-Dnepr president joins Putin on UK visit

ALEXEY ISAIKIN, president of Volga-Dnepr Group, was α member of the official delegation which accompanied Russ- ian president Vladimir Putin εε his recent state visit to the UK.

During the Russian president's visit, Isaikin said he had the opportunity to hold talks on potential investments in the Russian aviation industry and long-term partnerships between Volga-Dnepr and leading British companies.

As the only representative of the Russian aerospace industry taking part in the visit, Isaikin was able to address political and business leaders at the Russian-British Business Counci1. ═σ chose to high1ight the close working partnership between business in Russia and the UK and the considerable opportunity that existed for future co-operation.

Isaikin told his audience: "Today, we are seeing the establishment of long-term, mutually beneficial relation- ships between British and Russian companies."

═σ said that with Volga- Dnepr's rise to become the world's leading outsize and heavyweight cargo airline, "we have proved that you can do business successfully with Russian companies".

"The trust we have earned from our Customers is our greatest asset," he added.

Isaikin went on to highlight the diversity of projects Volga- Dnepr has successfully completed with British companies.

These ranged, he said, from sophisticated logistic programmes such as the transportation of oil extraction equipment for BP, to the movement of aircraft engines for Ro11s Royce, and logistics support for the world tours of British music legends such as The Ro11ing Stones, Elton John and Paul McCartney.
