ABC secures cargo to TAPA initiative

AIRBRIDGE CARGO (ABC), the Russia-based scheduled cargo airline, has joined the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA).

TAPA is an association of security professionals and related business partners from companies who have joined together to address the emerging security threats that are common to the high-tech industry.

In joining TAPA, the cargo carrier said it has "subscribed to all security procedures as recommended by TAPA to underpin its commitment to the highest levels of customer service by using TAPA's risk management tools".

Stan Wraight, president and CEO of AirBridge Cargo, said: "In cooperation with TAPA we intend to develop new procedures to keep ABC in the forefront of safety and security for high-tech and vulnerable shipments."
